Show Notes

5:00: Jenny gives her recap of the in-person event, attending workshop day, which was a smaller group of 50-60 people. Then on Wednesday, she speaks to the full impact of attending an event that hasn’t been held in 3 years.

9:00: Ilker gives his own review of emceeing the event virtually. He speaks to the virtual platform holding up well, noting a small discrepancy for time differences around the world yet over 2,000 people on the virtual track at one point.

13:31: Jenny mentions moments she loved, including the workshop day, Priya Parker’s presentation among many other panels, and wanting more overall!

18:30: Ilker’s standout moments and sessions include Yuri Lazarus, Todd Nilson himself, Sumeru Chatterjee, and more!

25:52: Jenny highlights a few things that could have been improved including a separate room for in-person attendees to watch the virtual stage and more time for camaraderie in general.

31:00: Ilker suggests improvements could be made in regards to closing the gap of in-person and virtual attendees. One idea could be giving headphones as swag a-la silent disco to hear the virtual presentations.

34:15: Todd chimes in with his own suggestions. One was the limits of the virtual streaming platform to be able to better connect with the audience. Ample networking opportunities are also always appreciated at large, impactful events. The group ends on general takeaways.
